  1. How can I start getting cars with JIMEX?

    If you are a first-time buyer, these are the 1, 2, 3 purchase steps.

    #1- Be in touch with a sales agent
    You can reach out our sales team simply registering or sending an inquiry on our website:

    #2- Initial Deposit
    After selecting the car that matches all your requirements, JIMEX will ask you for the initial deposit. Once confirmed, JIMEX will arrange the vehicle shipping.

    #3- Final Installment and documents release
    Upon the payment of all installments, JIMEX will send all necessary paperwork to release the car in the destination port.

  2. What payment methods do you accept?

    Currently, we are accepting telegraphic transfers (T/T) to our bank account (shown on all invoices and our "Business Terms" page), Paypal, Credit Card.

  3. How long does it take for my car to arrive?

    The time it takes to deliver any car depends on a lot of different things. We will do everything we can to get your car to you as quickly as possible, but depending on the country and the shipping schedules this can take anywhere between 4 to 8 weeks.

  4. Can I get LHD cars from JIMEX?

    LHD cars are not very common in Japan, but we will do our best to help you find any car that suits your needs.

  5. Can I cancel my purchase?

    Yes, purchases can be cancelled but there may be some charges. For full details please see our "Business Terms" page.

  6. Do you check cars before shipping them?

    Before shipping we make sure that the details of the car are the same as the technical sheet provided by the auction houses.

  7. Can you tell me how much a car will sell for?

    We can't tell you exactly how much a car will sell for, but using data from each auction our sales team can provide you with the average prices of each car as well as recent trends spanning over the last 3 months.

  8. How can JIMEX find the best car for me?

    We have long-standing relationships with auction houses, local dealers and leasing and rental companies, and we use of these trusted relationships to help provide our clients with the best possible options.

  9. Which countries can you ship cars to?

    Thanks to our long working relationship with the shipping companies, we can ship to any country in the world that accepts used cars from Japan.

  10. What if I have specific questions about a car?

    From the moment you register your personal sales manager will not change. They will always be on hand to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

  11. Can you send auto parts inside a purchased car?

    Unfortunately the shipping companies do not allow anything to be shipped inside the vehicles unless they are shipped by container.

  12. What languages do you do business in?

    We have a multilingual office with sales staff ready to answer any questions in English, Spanish, Russian, Georgian, Mongolian, Burmese as well as many other languages.

  13. Can I get a spare key set?

    If a spare key comes with the car being sold, we will make sure you receive this. If there is no spare key with the car, the customer will be responsible for making copies.

  14. Can I ask for cars not listed on your web site?

    Please do not hesitate to ask us for anything and we will do our best to find exactly what you need.

  15. Can I pay with a credit card?

    Yes, we do accept credit card payments. Please Contact your sales manager for more details.

  16. Can I purchase a vehicle for use in Japan?

    Unfortunately we do not sell vehicles for use within Japan.

  17. What currencies do you accept?

    We can work in either US Dollars or Japanese Yen and the choice is set for each customer after the first payment is received.

  18. Does my country have any pre-shipping inspections?

    Some countries require pre-shipping inspections. To be sure, please contact your local government office to confirm if any pre-shipment inspections are required.

  19. Who covers the bank transfer fees?

    It is the buyer's responsibility to cover all bank fees. Please contact your bank to verify the exact amount.

  20. How long does it take for you to receive my money transfer?

    Please allow at least 3 business days for transfers to be reflected in our account.

  21. What are the shipping methods?

    Vehicles can be shipped by RoRo vessels (Roll-on/roll-off) where vehicles are driven directly onto it and secured to the car decks or into containers.

    We practice the safest packing/vanning methods available, using only high-quality materials. Vehicles are loaded with extreme care to ensure safe delivery. With many competitors ignoring the delicacy of this process, we aim to provide the best in the industry in containerization/vanning.

  25. How does auction work?

    You can buy cars from Japan's auctions through JIMEX. To get involved, you have to:
    - Be in touch with a sales agent
    - Register with JIMEX.CO.JP
    - Pay a security deposit (100% refundable) to activate your bid permission.
    With these steps, you will be granted full access to the main auction houses from Japan and be able to bid according to the credit limit of your account.
    Right after winning a car from the auction, JIMEX will ask you for the initial deposit to ship your vehicle. Once the vehicle is fully paid, JIMEX will send the final documents to you and you will be able to release the car from the destination port.
